The individual prices of the 8day trip in the top box are based on groups of ten; all other day trips are calculated for five persons and include transportation, lunches, entrance fees, tour guides, and certified guides in archaeological sites.  Feel free and compose your own vacation with four excursions for example, and leave a lazy day in between each activity.  Please keep in mind that some components are optional, and trips can be modified to accommodate travelers with special needs, or cross-generational groups.  Please email for special rates and needs: info at accessecotours.com

This roundtrip matches CA State Curriculum, to add hands-on experience to classroom teachings in history, social science, ecology, and astronomy.  The price is based on a class of 20 students and includes:

8 DAY GROUP ACTIVITY FOR US$756  PER PERSON incl. airport transfer, based on 10 participants and own hotel reservation in Playa del Carmen or surroundings—except one night in Bacalar which is included.

Day 1   ARRIVAL

Pick up at Cancun airport and transportation to your hotel in Playa del Carmen.

Day 2   COBA ($115)

Visit the Coba ruins, a Mayan community and a cenote (sweetwater sinkhole). Aprx. from 8am—5.30pm. Includes entrance fees and lunch. 

Day 3   SIAN KA’AN ($109)

Visit the Ecological Center of the Sian Ka’an biosphere reserve and take a boat tour on the lagoon. Swim in a cenote. includes entrance fees and lunch.  Aprx. 7am—5pm.

Day 4   BACALAR (2days $253)

Visit Fort San Felipe and its museum, and cenote Azul for lunch and swimming. Spend afternoon at Eco Lodge on the Bacalar lagoon. Includes entrance fees, rooms, lunch and dinner. We are leaving Playa del Carmen at 8am and spend the night in Bacalar.

Day 5   DZIBANCHE (see Bacalar)

Visit the Dzibanche ruins, experience Mayan culinary in the house of a family in Chacchoben.  Return to Playa del Carmen.  Includes entrance fees, breakfast, snacks and Mayan meal.  All day

Day 6   MUYIL CEREMONIES ($137)

Visit the Muyil ruins and experience the total Mayan Encounter!  Some very passionate environmentalists and keepers of the Mayan tradition are going to enchant you with beautiful ceremonies.  Aprx from 8am— 6pm.  Entrance fees and lunch included.

Day 7   TULUM ($92)

Visit the Tulum ruins in the morning and participate in a Temazcal (sweat lodge) ceremony for purification. Aprx. from 9am—7pm.  Includes entrance fees, lunch and fruits and water at the ceremony.

Day 8   DEPARTURE

Transportation from your Hotel in Playa del Carmen to Cancun airport.
