What to bring/wear: Sunglasses, hat, camera/batteries, insect repellent, biodegradeable sunblock, comfortable clothes and footwear, swim wear, a towel, extra t-shirt, some change for tips - and maybe educational items (books, notepads, pens), senseful toys, clothes or fruit when we go to the Mayan communities. Mexican museums charge USD for the use of video cameras.

BACALAR (2days $253) Visit Fort San Felipe and its museum, and Cenote Azul for lunch and swimming. Spend afternoon at Eco Lodge on the Bacalar lagoon. Includes entrance fees, rooms, lunch and dinner. We are leaving Playa del Carmen at 8am and spend the night in Bacalar.
KOHUNLICH (leaving from Bacalar) Visit the Kohunlich ruins, experience Mayan culinary in the house of a family in Chacchoben.Return to Playa del Carmen.Includes entrance fees, breakfast, snacks and Mayan meal.All day.
CHICHEN ITZA ($90) Take a guided tour of the archaeological site in the morning, have Yucatecan style lunch, and visit the colonial town of Valladolid in the afternoon. Includes entrance fees, guides, snacks, lunch. From apprx. 8am—7pm
